ROFJCC is an evangelical church comprised of people from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds representing approximately 20 different nations.  Intertwined by the love of God, our hearts are set towards establishing His plan in our community.  We are an independent, non-denominational, Bible-believing church, embracing a charismatic style of worship.  As a flow destined for beauty, Pastor Rev. Dr. Kenneth L. Pearman planted the seed of this local church in July, 1991 (See History Below); committed to healing broken lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Now hundreds of people gather each week at our corporate services to worship and receive instructions from God's word--the Bible.

ROFJCC exists to unite people to God and people to people.

We emphatically state our message--that Jesus is Lord, and a personal relationship with Him (Jesus Christ) is essential to obtaining eternal life.  Once Jesus enters a heart and rules as Lord, a complete metamorphosis occurs--purposes, attitudes, relationships, and perspectives all change.   In essence, the only answer to the deplorable conditions which confront mankind today is Jesus Christ.

The Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center's (ROFJCC) Ministry was formed and the foundation laid on Eppirt Street in East Orange, New Jersey in the basement of the late Mother Bernice Winn's home. In the early stages of the ministry, the original name was Reaching Out For Jesus Word Alive Ministry. Later, the late Mother Kelly gave the ministry a new name because she knew there were no boundaries for this ministry. She told all of her friends it was the Reaching Out For Jesus Worldwide Ministry; never thinking that this ministry would grow to be just that.

This ministry was established on love; designed to be a "Full Help Ministry" and its first priority was "Soul Winning". Each year, for 12 years, the breakfast would be greater than the other. His first breakfast was at the Holiday Inn (now the Royal Inn) in East Orange, New Jersey. The room was filled to its capacity and overflowing. He went from there to Branch Brook Manor in Belleville, New Jersey, to Governor Morris Inn in Morristown, New Jersey; to the Marriott in Parsippany, New Jersey; to Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; to the Hilton Gateway in Newark, New Jersey; and in between Rev. Dr. Kenneth L. Pearman would return back to East Orange, New Jersey for a homecoming. Each time he held a fellowship breakfast, bus loads and cars would be turned away because their largest ball rooms would be filled to capacity and overflowing.

In July 1991, that's when Pastor Pearman was appointed by God to come to Stroudsburg to open a church and continue his ministry; that's when Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center's name was birth. His first Sunday service was July 14, 1991 at 11:30 am. at the Sheraton Hotel in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It was a small gathering, however the Pastor had to conduct two (2) services because another group of people came late insisting to hear the Word of God. There were many Sundays there was only one person there other than the Pastor, however, Pastor Pearman conducted service as though there were thousands in church.

In November, 1991, the church had grown from one, to a small group, and we sponsored our first Fellowship Breakfast in the Poconos at the Sheraton Hotel (where services were also being held each Sunday Morning). Many gave their lives to Christ and some rededicated their lives to Christ as a result of the Fellowship Breakfast. From that breakfast, membership grew tremendously, and decisions had to be made about where we would hold our services and breakfast functions. Our focus was upon the Best Western Hotel and God blessed us to conduct services there in the basement each Sunday Morning at 11:30 a.m.

Upon moving to the Best Western Hotel, in 1992 our Resurrection Weekend Conferences was birthed. That's when we, instead of just having the breakfast on Saturday, he decided to make it an entire weekend (from Friday night until Sunday Afternoon). A TOTAL HOLY GHOST EXPLOSION WEEKEND. That year, Valerie Boyd came and gave us a concert and Rev. Dr. Brenda Gail Watt not only came and sang, she coordinated and directed the ROFJCC Choir, but she also did a great deal of coordinating Resurrection Weekend. The ROFJCC Mass Choir was birthed.

In February, 1992, we began our ROFJCC's television telecast on Cable 32 in New Jersey, which is still in existence. We are in the top ten Religious viewing and these telecasts cover New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Georgia and Pennsylvania. We also contracted a number of radio broadcast which covers parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Another great moment in ROFJCC's history.

On July, 1992, ROFJCC began our accredited Bible School, Dunamis Bible Institute. The church hosted its first Cap and Gown graduation on June 27, 1993 for the Glory of God.

Resurrection 1993, Lorraine Stancil and her choir came and gave us some outstanding selections, Rev. Sean Cort of KISS FM came in support of that weekend as well as Liggonia (Tiny) Lucas, Jersey City Mass Choir, Keith Branch and the Branch Singers ministered in a great way. So many things had taken place this year. This was the turn of a new anointing for ROFJCC; fifty (50) members total had joined the church that weekend and many had given their lives to the Lord, while others rededicated themselves back to the Lord. This year was one of the great moments in ROFJCC's History.

The year of 1996 was a year of struggle, perseverance, triumphs and victories. Resurrection Weekend 1996 -- It's your Time to Be Blessed was an awesome weekend. The conference now started on Thursday night. Pastor Smith of Tabernacle of Joy, Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania ministered well, we were truly blessed by their presence. Friday night Evangelist Wynell Johnson, Fresh World Ministry of Newark, New Jersey ministered some awesome and prophetic words. She prophesied that on the third day there would be change and sure as I am living, on the third day, which was that Sunday, there was a movement of God in this place that no once could explain. Families were mended together, homes were restored and many other blessings. Saturday Morning was a breakfast of power. The seminars were so anointed and powerful that people were set free; their minds, emotions and spirit were brought back into balance by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Saturday Night was a night that you had to be there; recording artists Lorraine Stancil, Rev. Buster Simmons and the Disciples of truth and Shabach ministered in such a way that people got delivered; they sang until the Spirit of joy fell upon the people---what a night. Jersey City Mass Choir, Bishopville, S.C. Mass Choir along with ROFJCC Mass and Total Family Christian Center sand the roof right off the house---talking about a Holy Ghost Good Time. Sunday Morning (Close-out Service) was awesome; the people left the service with a spirit of revival in their hearts.

Resurrection Weekend 1997 "The Year of Completion--The Aftermath". The conference had grown so much that we had to move the fellowship breakfast to the East Stroudsburg University Cafeteria. Every hotel in the area had been book to capacity.

Thursday night, Pastor Robinson of Mount Gilead Full Gospel Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia preached with such power and authority; the people had no other choice but give God a praise. Friday Night, Evangelist Juanita Sapp of Dallas Texas preached us into the Holy of Holies Praise, causing us to almost lose our minds. Saturday Morning Fellowship Breakfast was the continuation from Friday night. Evangelist Lorraine Stancil sang so that we went up in a praise that caused the anointing to fill the room with a thickness of a London fog. What a morning. Saturday Night, Donald Malloy combined all of the choirs and we gave one majestic sound that shook the very foundation of satan's kingdom and sent a sweet smelling aroma up to God. Rev. Buster Simmons and the Disciples of Truth ministered with a Holy Ghost authority that brought the church into another height of praise. Lorraine Stancil sang so sweet and melodious that hell was in trouble, she put demons to flight and people were delivered and set free. What a night; you had to be there. Sunday Morning Worship was another awesome close-out day; God moved in such a way that we carried that aroma, with us through into 1998.

Here we are at Resurrection Weekend 1998 and God worked it out in such a way that the owner of the Sheraton Hotel went to work (physically) on accommodating and meeting our needs for our fellowship breakfast and seminars right in the hotel. Let's just bless God for His Mighty Acts.

God blessed us so Resurrection Weekend 1999, had an overflow and abundance of God's anointing and participation.  God moved so mightily this year.  ROFJCC Mass Choir participated in a CD recording with the Bryant Richardson and the Body of Christ Choir.  God worked in such a miraculous way; he moved us into another level of preparation for our new church home.

The year of 2000 was a turning point for ROFJCC Ministries.  This was a year that we moved from dimension to dimension in God as He plucked up and weeded out.  Resurrection Weekend, God instructed us that this weekend would be for in-house, no outsiders.  A rare weekend; a weekend of preparation; a weekend of determination; a weekend of redeeming the time.   God, Himself, moved us from dimension to dimension.   In that preparation, determination and moving from dimension to dimension, ROFJCC moved right into our new home, Route 209, South, Sciota, Pennsylvania.

In the last three (5) years the Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center has aired on the radio and continue to do so in New York (WNSW 1430 Am at 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 mid) Brookneal, Virginia (Every Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  and 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

In the year of 2000 to 2001,  the Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center is now airing on the local television stations in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, the Morristown, New Jersey area and 350 television stations around the country.  We thank God for enabling and empowering us to preach his word around the world.

Resurrection Weekend "2001" was an explosive weekend.  Pastor Lance Johnson of Ball Ground Georgia came and kicked the week off with a dynamite word; Pastor Martin Williams of Omaha, Nebraska came and brought the conference to another dimension and Bishop Eddie Long of Lithonia, Georgia came and lifted us up above the clouds to get even the more clarity in the dimensions that we had been moved into with the other preachers.  Pastor Pearman closed the week out and we have been on the move in ministry.   Bless the Lord, His Word is true and stands forever!

Finally, the Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center made the local news paper and it read as thus, "After many moves, church's congregation finds a home".  January 5, 2003, the Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center marched into their permanent church home 700 people strong (formerly Our Lade Queen of Peace church).  Yes, ROFJCC had finally purchased the building that was prophesied over 12 years ago.  We marched in the new church home, Route 209 South, Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, with victory and triumph in Jesus.  The local newspaper was captivated by our enthusiasm; it read as thus, "A purple ribbon stretched across the front steps Sunday afternoon (January 5, 2003), waiting for the people and the pastor.  Just at 4:30 p.m. the cars began to pull in.  As snow fell on feathered hats and fur coats, Pearman cut the ribbon and a cheer rang out.  This was history today, "Pearman told his congregation as they sat shoulder to shoulder in a church that once held Roman Catholic services.  Soon they were standing, dancing, clapping, singing, shaking the old wooden floors with praises to Jesus.  "We've been blessed.  That's the bottom line," said Pearman, attributing the church's growth to its community outreach to the hungry, homeless and ill."

God has brought the Reaching Out For Jesus Christian Center a mighty long way and we have come to far to turn back now; the only way that is left is up because Jesus is in control.  We are Blessed and Highly Favored in the Lord.
